Though I try to give some clarity on my characters and storylines in my post, as I draft, write and design my stories more and more I want to give some clarity as I want my work to be more presentable - not “Here’s a character for this story” but for people to better recognise my creations as apart of a greater storyline when shared online. This will of course be reprimanded when I finish the writing and designing process and start illustrating the comics, but for now I will keep this post up for people to get an idea.

Here are my works (I usually write and design my stories in their entirety down to dialouge and thumbnailing for chapters, so forgive me for them being incomplete):

THE EUDAEMON

The Eudaemon follows the story of Love Libertá, a human who escaped the Angel regions and met a violent demise. Revived due to the 2000 year old spirit of the last Eudaemon, Libertá travels through Demon infested lands and Angel dictated cities to not only free themself, but humanity and by extension the violence of both opposing demons and Angel.

I utilise this story as a way to express my own journey as a person and an artist. The words that best define the themes of this story are identity, freedom and connection. Many of the other characters include but are not limited to Azrael, Violli, Sir Dracula, Imp, Azazel and Gaia - who all are or conflict with punk and queer themes. The story is heavily inspired by many dark fantasy and demon ridden stories like Early Jojos, Beserk and Chainsaw Man as well as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry. The genre is Action-Horror. I came up with the story to scratch an edgier writing itch and to also challenge myself to write for a genre I have a distaste for (Horror) to become a more dynamic and skilled writer.

PROJECT PARTICLE

I don’t post as much of this story, but that’s because it’s far, far bigger than the Eudaemon - featuring 5 arcs instead of The Eudaemon’s 3. It’s a superhero storyline that tells the fantastical journey of a completely unremarkable boy named Jimmy who rises in strength through their own determination and mastery of their heart to the point of purity through the power of Particles - a magical energy that is linked to the creation of life itself. I use it as a way to comment on modern ideas of goodness, happiness and morality. The Eudaemon’s goal was self-expression of my journey as a person, however Project Particle I’m going to use to platform my beliefs of optimism and self betterment. I won’t go too far into detail here until I have at least completed a few arcs of The Eudaemon. It is heavily inspired by Dragon Ball Z, though I believe both The Eudaemon and Project Particle are very original in their own rights ignoring one or two homages.

*Whilst in the past I have used Libertá as a self-insert for my art, I will create a new character seperate to The Eudaemon and Project Particle storyline. Whilst I share my art under ‘EudaemonArts’ The Eudaemon is more like a mascot, seperate to my own identity as an individual.
